AKC Ebonstar Creme Soda Explosion

Soda

Soda was born on February 2, 2011. She was the last pup born in the last litter produced by our yellow lab, Jo. We have so many wonderful emails from previous Jo and Casey pup buyers that we decided we wanted one of these pups for ourselves and this was our last chance to get one. Soda has not let us down. She has some of the fun "Jo" tendencies with high energy and tons of athleticism and drive but as an improvement she also has her dad's easy going nature and ability to calm down and interact with visitors of all ages. Some of that may also come from the wonderful early socialization that all of our puppies get. Keeping one of our puppies has been good for us as we can clearly see what a difference early socialization really makes. I have been training Soda on the basic obedience side while Kirk has been working with her on hunting skills. She has done well for the several hunts she has been on this fall/winter. We think she is going to turn out to be an exception hunting dog like her mom and her dad. She is also a joy to have in the house because of her obedience skills which will only improve over time as she ages.

Soda has not had hip x-rays as OFA requires the dog to be 2 years old to be certified but is CNM and EIC clear through parentage. We will also be getting her eyes certified before she is two. If those hip x-rays are good and her eyes pass the exam we plan to breed Soda in early 2013 for her first litter. Soda already weighs about 65 lbs and is a beautiful creamy white. You can check out her pedigree here.
